I wrote a book which was published in year 2012, “Saving America: the war we can’t ignore”. Objective of the book was to address what should be the concerns in the heart of American churches and believers who read the Christian Bible. The book is not popular because I am not a known author and have not yet established a viable platform to successfully market my book. But I have a passion for the gospel of Christ. When the book was released by the publisher in August of 2012, complimentary copies were sent to notable Christian leaders across the States and some select national leaders, including former president George W Bush and the current president Donald J Trump. I received words of encouragement through acknowledgments of the book from some of the leaders, including presidents Trump and Bush. Ironically, I did not sense that Donald J Trump would become the next president of this great country and also the person that God would use to address some of the concerns I raised in the book. I cannot say why he was one of those I chose to send a copy of the book. That is part of the mysteries of the God of the Christians. William Cowper in his poetic work and powerful hymn said, “God moves in mysterious way, His wonders to perform; He plants His footsteps in the sea and rides upon the storm. His purposes will ripen fast, unfolding every hour”.
One of the concerns expressed in the book was that the United States of America was on the verge of moral and spiritual collapse which I believe by the word of God, would spell great disaster for the nation and her good people. As I grew up in Christian faith, I knew and accepted that a society will only thrive ad have orderliness, peace and social justice, if it imbibes and continue to toe the path of godliness which can only be found in the principles of the Christian Bible and practices. No society anywhere in the world that rejects God and His words will make progress for the peace, orderliness and joy of the people. Those who once practiced the Bible’s lifestyle and chose to abandon it will move from peace into chaos because peaceful relationship only exists in the God of the Bible. It is true to life. The reason the world is constantly in chaotic social, political and economic relationship is because of the absence of the knowledge of God, particularly among the leaders and rulers. The United Kingdom is an example of a once prosperous and peaceful nation, but now in constant chaos and disorderliness resulting from religious fundamentalism. God may have allowed this to come on the nation because of the disobedience of subsequent past leaders of this great nation. The history of the Jewish people whose life was used as an example for the rest of the world shows that closeness to God could be profitable to society and disobedience could bring hardship and pains on the people. The incessant spiritual collapse in the nation of Israel over a long-time account for part of the trouble in the Middle East today. Often, when they rebelled against God, they found themselves been conquered by foreign nations and taken captives, the process which made to lose a part of the Promised Land to their adversaries. The anger of God is not good for the short and long-run of humanity.
There is no alternative to the Bible for a decent and upright society. It is not possible for man or woman to live a moral and upright life without acknowledging God in his or her life. Integrity is not the same as smartness. Smartness takes a man or a woman through a long route and world celebrities but it will easily collapse when the test of integrity is applied to it. There are a lot of smart people in our society today and people mistake them for men of integrity and are later disappointed when they come to be aware of their secrets. We have recently seen many of those held in high esteem in society falling flat to allegation of “Me too”; an indication that righteousness cannot be procured with fame, or money. The celebrities of old, and men of integrity such as Elijah, Elisha, John, James, etc., patterned their lifestyles after Jesus Christ, a life of no error. When Jesus was brought to the Court of Pilate, the Judge made an unusual pronouncement: “I find no fault in this Man.” To live a life of integrity is to follow Christ, in our thoughts, words and deeds. Paul summed up the vulnerability of life with God when he said, “For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.” (Rom 7: 18-20). So, when the Spirit of God moves away from society, the society will lose the essence and purpose of life.
The second concern I had was that the spiritual collapse of the United States of America and her eventual fall from power could spell doom for the church, the Jews and the God-fearing people all over the world. God uses people and nation for the defense of others, particularly the weak ones. The United States of America has been a blessing to the world, the church and the people of God, the Jews. The United States of America was built on the Judeo-Christian foundation, living and trusting in God in all areas of life. There are currently two distinct nations in the world, America and Israel. God has been very merciful on America because it was built on His name. God personally chose Israel with unbroken covenant with their father, Abraham. America, like the Jewish nation remain a difficult and hard nut for the enemies of world peace to crack. America is not hated in the world because of past slavery alone. She is not the only nation that was involved in the deadly sin of slavery. No nation of the world can absolve itself from the menace of slavery including the buyers and the sellers. The root cause of bitterness towards USA is in its firm and strong belief in Christ and support for the gospel of Jesus and the Jewish nation. America has protected the world from the ravaging destruction of Sharia law, a tool that Satan planned to use through the radical Islamic fundamentalists to enslave the world and further his kingdom on earth. Collapse of spiritual and moral standing of America therefore will be an open door for Satan to enter using his tools of destructions.
When I was migrating into the United States some years ago, I had this belief that America was God’s own country, and I looked forward to becoming a proud member of God’s community. My great expectation was not so much of material things but going to a country where God is reverenced and worshipped and I thought that United States of America would be like heaven which is described with the street of gold. I thought literarily that I would be walking on Bibles as I embarked from the plane. I was therefore shocked to discover I was walking into a city not very different physically from what I used to know. The difference is more on the great infrastructure development compared with where I was coming from. But I was later to be further shocked that I was in a nation, “God’s own Country”, where some people take offense when you say God bless you to them. It was very surprising to me that there are written and unwritten regulations that forbid open distribution of Bible to people in the public places. I am a member of Gideon International, a Christian faith based business and professional men’s organization committed to distribution of Bibles freely in various traffic lanes of life. I observed with shock that I could be charged for crime for distributing Bibles in public places in America. In California State where government favors the use of marijuana with little or no control; a state that makes mandatory for children in elementary and middle schools to read books on gay lifestyle, forbids distributions of Bibles in schools or for schools to have a copy of the Bible in the school library.
With these experiences, I knew it was a matter of time when things may drastically change for this nation; and it may just become like any other nation of the world bankrupt of moral standards. In the eight years of Obama administration, it was an ominous sign of a giant nation of the world that may soon be on her kneels wobbling. The attack on the church was escalating. The nation of Israel was no longer having a respite. The foreign policies were more in favor of the Islamic world than the Judeo-Christians principles of the nation’s founders. It also appeared there was a deliberate attempt to reduce the military capabilities or to populate the military and intelligence with people who do not hold loyalty to the principles on which this nation was founded. As a matter of fact, the nation’s strong man then, Barrack Obama asserted that the United States of America is not a Christian nation. I personal took serious exceptions to his declaration and sadly to Christian leaders who agreed with him. Anyone who claims that America is not a Christian nation is acting the script of Satan because that is the desire of Satan to bring the whole world under his subjection.
For centuries, the Islamic Fundamentalists have strategized to bring the world into subjection under the Sharia law. Strategies used in the past include, Muslim intermarriage with Christians, deliberate sponsor of Islamic education in the west through the abundant oil resources in the Middle East, migration of Muslims to western nations to settle and become part of the political processes, and jihad, which is the violent conscription of others to Islam among many other strategies. Some of the strategies have worked well all over the world for their objective. We have seen several Christian children who were lured into marriages with Muslims and have in the process lost their Christian faith. Many years ago, leadership in some African nations was sponsored through violence (military coups) to convert the states into Islamic caliphate. Many of these African countries are still going through the suffering put on them by these leaders. In Europe, many nations have fallen to the jihadists through unguarded migration policies. Those who do not understand the strategies are usually carried away by either personal interest or have their mind totally blinded by Satan. The errors that the early Europeans made was allowing people of other faith to come in droves to their nation, when the nation was not well equipped and prepared to evangelize the immigrants, and properly educate them on the existing culture of their host nation; rather they are left with their imported violent culture which they often use to create disharmony within society. Collapse of the strong Judeo-Christian foundation of the United States would bolster and reinforce the strategies of the Islamic fundamentalists to put the world under the Sharia rule. It was a plan that has been on-going for many years and America is the only nation standing against the realization of this objective.
The events of post-Obama administration, political violence in public places, the disturbing distortions of virtuous education on campuses, violent suppression of the views of others and the recent revelation of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and happenings inside some public services is a confirmation that all may not be well with God’s own country. The sudden and growing bitterness and deliberate plans to destroy other people physically and politically is the result of growing ungodliness in the society. Things have deteriorated very fast that some young ones and adults believe that family and Christian values canvassed by the Trump administration are things of the past. This is not politics but inroad by Satan into our society. Democrats of Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter era that was not too long ago acknowledged God and the role of the Bible as a compass for moral value of the society. President Clinton feared that Obama’s second term bid could be truncated with his pursuance of gay agenda. Clinton’s belief changed when Obama succeeded even with his open support for gay. And expectedly, many politicians modified their approach because they believe American society has changed on this issue. But the truth is that the words of God cannot change. So, the American society has gone down in moral values over these past years so much that what we see in here today are not any different from irreverent nations of the world. The whole processes in the Obama era, including ambushing Israel at the United Nations was a plan by Satan to destroy America and open the floodgate for Christian persecution all over the world. Once America is out of the way, there may be no respite for the church, in America or anywhere in the world. If you think you know what slavery is all about, wait to see yourself under the slavery of Sharia law.
What is the lesson for the church in all this? God will remain God regardless of America. Nothing can change the position and plans of God. Without America, God will accomplish His purpose on earth. But the mercies of God brought Donald J Trump to scene at this time in the history of the world. God moves when it appears that everything has fallen apart. America was close to being forgotten but God came through for His people who prayed. But we must not take the grace of God in vain. Trump’s administration has been under immense pressure from attacks of the enemies. The church is responsible to for holding Trump and his cabinet in prayers. As we have enemies within the church who are doing damages to the church, Trump has enemies within who are collaborating with enemies without. But the God of the Bible says, “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Eph. 6:12) That is the reason we should guard ourselves, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God” (2 Cor. 10: 3-5). My faith remains on nothing less than Jesus Christ and His righteousness. Please pray for Trump and his years in office.
