The world on the brink - who pulls the first trigger?

Are we heading fast to the third world war? This is the big question that dominates many minds in the world. Those who know how to worry are seriously worried about the situation, particularly those who tasted the second world war or were impacted by it or those who have read the history of the bitterness of the first and second world wars. They are worried because war is not good for either sides. The people of Hiroshima, the young and the old, and all people of adjourning cities and villages in Japan would give anything to prevent war. This is because the effect of war is no story to them. But there are those who careless if the planet goes into flames. They do not see why the world should remain peaceful if it does not serve their purpose. Most of them, politicians and celebrities are occupied by forces bigger than them. Some of them are in their old age and they probably have less to lose because by the time the war is over, they should be getting set to go either to heaven or to hell depending on which side they belong while on earth here. And don’t get me wrong, I am not passing any judgment because I do not possess the power to determine who goes to heaven or hell, but the truth is that there are only two destinations when the human life is over, either to God in heaven or to the other side of God in hell.

As the world wounds up, there are two main characters working for the demise of the earth; humanity and Satan. God is not a destroyer, for everything about God is good. Satan is set for the destruction of the world, and he will stop at nothing until he achieves this goal. The irony of it is that Satan cannot accomplish his purpose without human cooperation. Satan is a spirit and cannot physically bite or bark. He therefore enters into the human hearts and minds, takes control and uses humanity to further his agenda to set the world for destruction. Satan does not have new strategies; he uses the same old deceptions he used to lead Adam and Eve astray through the manipulation of the mind, in the Garden of Eden. Unfortunately, the world has become more stupid, naïve and gullible than the days of Adam; an advantageous position for Satan, who does not need to debate or convince people anymore to get his agenda to become reality on earth. Worse for the world is the new age deception called liberalism. It has become a pride sort of, to be referred to as a liberal or leftist. It is the populist, welfarism, or socialist ideology which has stolen the hearts of men and women in the world, who incidentally are like Esau the brother of Jacob who for a morsel of bread sold his birth right. Satan does recognize that what people are concerned about today is what they will eat or drink and what they will put on, (self-gratification).

Everyone in the world is here for a purpose, for bad or for good. In the Bible, God said of Pharaoh, the onetime powerful monarch in Egypt: "I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth." (Rom 9:27). The story of the destruction of the Egyptian army in the red sea, cannot be forgotten. So also, Judas Iscariot, one of the prominent disciples of Jesus Christ got destroyed for his role in the crucifixion and death of his Master. Judas was born like any other man of his times and was privileged to serve as one of the disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, the savior of the world. But Satan entered into him, manipulated him and propelled him to fulfil a negative part of prophecy. Jesus said this about Judas: “He who dipped his hand with Me in the dish will betray Me. The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.” (Mat 26:23-24). The point is that Jesus would still have died because that was the reason He came into the world. He died to deliver humanity from the curse of sin and death. But those who crucified Him, including Judas who betrayed Him willingly gave themselves to be used by Satan to make the events happen.

The world is evolving rapidly with many scenarios pointing to the fulfilment of prophecies. People came into the world to play their roles, good and bad, but in a final analysis fulfilling a part of prophetic messages, from scripture. The Lord Himself said “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” (Mat 24:44) “Heaven and Earth shall pass away and my words shall not pass away”. (Luke 21:33). Believe it or not each of us do contribute to the fulfillment of the words, no matter how significant or insignificant either by our actions or inactions. Adolf Hitler was a German politician who was the leader of the Nazi Party, Chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945. He would not be forgotten by the world for the role he played at his time; it was part of fulfilment of prophecies. Actions of individuals either done thoughtfully or not, impact the process in the world.

Life is about personal choices and the part you take depends on who you yield your life to, God or Satan. Kim Jong Un, the North Korean leader, has by his personal choice elected to be remembered for dragging the world to the brinks of destruction. He is on his way to fulfil a mission, and only God knows what Satan may end up using Kim to do in our world. These are spiritual issues in the world that we pay no attention to but rather, we pass them as ordinary events. Kim cannot be bothered anymore for he has reached a point of no return, except for a miracle. He is a disgruntled world leader who has led the hapless people of North Korea into hunger and famine. He has put the entire nation into slave camps. He cares less in destroying whatever that is left of his country and take some nations of the world along the destructive path. Kim, however is not the only player. Satan does not enter the soccer field with an incomplete team. There are many likes of Kim around the world, the Armageddon war team who in their various roles are manning a spot in the battle field for Satan. They are spread all over the world strategically and each one is pushing the agenda for the final demise of the world.

In the United States of America, some people are acting in such a way as to undermine the defense and security of the nation. Some people are doing horrible things and sadly, they appear oblivious that what they do has negative impact on other creatures of God. Satan exploits what seems to be their appetite for evil to unleash mayhem on the rest of society. Their ambitions, political, economic or social are used by Satan to becloud their good sense of judgment. They are determined to do anything even when it is clear it will not be in the interest of the United States of America. Some have gone ballistic that they do not care to hurt the United States of America so long as they can hurt Donald Trump. This is evil. Donald Trump is the president of the United States of America, he is the 45th president, which means others have come before him and gone. And if Christ does not come back soon, he will be succeeded by someone else at the expiration of his term. Why then should we carry our hatred so far for someone to the extent of pushing the whole nation to a path of destruction. In order to undermine the presidency of Donald Trump, some people have gone too far as to throw the security of this country to the wind.

For example, John McCain is an American politician who currently serves as the senior United States Senator from Arizona, and has been in that office since 1987. He was the Republican nominee in the 2008 presidential election, which he lost to Barack Obama. Senator McCain is an experienced man in the art of war and security and should know better the way to handle the current delicate situation in the world, especially in regards to North Korea. Surprisingly, the senator went public to oppose the president of the United States on a delicate issue such as North Korea. One would expect Senator McCain and all other politicians all over the world to seek for a common front against a deranged leader such as Kim Jong Un who is set to destroy himself and the rest of the world. But that is not the case, instead, McCain like some others prefers to oppose the president of the United States because of personal differences they have with the president. We are playing into the hands of the enemy when we continue to fight a wrong battle. Trump is not the problem of the world. I personally believe that God brought Trump on the scene for a time like this. It is a time when we need to be abreast about the truth of what is going on behind the scene. United States cannot continue to appease Satan because Satan has nothing to offer but destruction. Either way, Satan cannot become an angel of peace because that is no longer his culture. Those who do not like Trump should rethink their stand and play their game with some level of decorum. Queuing behind Kim against Trump will be catastrophic for the world. Looking back at history, Americans must take the right decisions at this time in the interest of the nation. The West promoted Osama bin Laden whose legacies have become problematic for the world, even long after his death. Bin Laden created Al Qaida which gave birth to ISIS, the current nemesis of the world. It was also believed that president Bill Clinton during his presidency pacified North Korea with the hope that his political strategy would cage the monster; but North Korea has turned out to be a lion who has destroyed its cage and is on the loose, set to devour the world.

President Barack Obama in his eight-year Presidential term thought the wise thing to do was to slow down the defense capacity of the United States of America while he indirectly empowered the notorious government of Iran known all over the world for evil. The obnoxious policies were branded and sold by Secretary of State John Kerry. Unfortunately, the evils in these policies would rather be ignored by partisan individuals and groups. Not only that, they label any objective analyses of these poor policies as racist. President Obama was elected by Americans to defend the security and safety of America for eight years and not to empower Iran or other enemies of America, while the power of the United States military was being deliberately undermined. Truly, Satan is doing so much havoc to our world as his end is fast approaching. Just as Bill Clinton perhaps did not think North Korea will turn into the monster it is now, Obama may also have thought the same way about Iran. The truth is that it is the same Satan that manipulated the situations, and will continue to manipulate any leader who gives him room.

The Church: I earnestly plead with the Church to wake up and rise to the defense of the people. The world is at cross-roads. The world depends on the church at this critical time for direction and defense. The Church needs to arise and put together her armor. We have one common enemy who is behind the crisis in the world. He is behind ISIS and he is behind Kim Jong Un. Satan is an enemy we cannot ignore. Let us bury our differences and queue behind Jesus Christ to fight the fight of faith against the enemy of the souls of men. “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land”. (2Chro. 7:14). For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Cor. 10:4-5). If we fail to fight, yet, the prophecies will be fulfilled but it would be sadly said that we failed to do what we are called and saved to do. Don’t leave Donald Trump to face Kim, Iran or any other satanic spot alone, let us rally round him with effective, fervent prayers that will avail.
